Since 1984, the Orange Regional Arts Foundation
has given approximately $850,000 to Arts activities
and projects in the district.

Grant Allocation

SUPPORT FOR THE MAJOR ARTS INSTITUTIONS IN THE ORANGE REGION

Since its inception, the Foundation has supported a s substantial number of arts related projects in the Orange region.  Recent examples have included:

  • Student scholarships for the Orange Regional Conservatorium

  • Support for the Orange Chamber Music Festival including sponsoring particular performances and commissioning a composition

  • Support for the digitising by the Orange Regional Museum of the programs for the Orange Festival of the Arts.  The festival ran from 1965 to 1989

  • The Orange Writers Festival

  • Assistance with the acquisition of the Senden Blackwood sculpture for the Orange Regional Gallery precinct.

  •  A compactus for the collections storage at the Orange Regional Gallery

Individual/other grants have included

  • Ballet Student funding to attend International Ballet School in New York

  • International Librarian Conference Attendance

  • Music Workshops in Sydney for students

  • Fresh Orange Juice Project - a performing arts project for people with disabilities in the Orange Community

and most recently we have established the annual JUMP START ARTS GRANT for emerging artists up to $5000
